Exhibitions at The Philadelphia Sketch Club

PHOTOgraphy 2004

The Philadelphia Sketch Club will host PHOTOgraphy 2004, a juried photography exhibition, from November 7 through November 28. An opening reception will be held for the general public on Sunday, November 7th from 2:00 until 5:00. There is no admission charge for the reception or for viewing the exhibition during regular gallery hours.

The exhibition will include black and white, color and digital photography selected at the discretion of three independent jurors. Jurors for this year’s competition are commercial and fine art photographers Sam Fritch, who is also a professor at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, Michael Furman, and Karen Rosewald, who is also an instructor at the University of Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia Sketch Club is America’s oldest artist run organization. It is an active regional arts education center that holds workshops, exhibitions, and a permanent collection of American Art from the late 19th and early 20th century. Located at 235 South Camac Street (between 12th and 13th, Locust and Spruce), the Philadelphia Sketch Club is conveniently located and accessible by many public transportation routes. Regular gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00.
