Press Release: Art of the Flower 2008

The Philadelphia Sketch Club is proud to announce its 3rd annual Art of the Flower exhibition.

This exhibition is intended to complement the annual Philadelphia Flower Show of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. It has also provided our club with a wonderful opportunity to welcome in the spring with an abundance of 2 and 3 dimensional works on the theme of flowers created by our richly diverse artistic community from the tri-state area.

The show opens to the public on March 2nd with a reception and awards ceremony, from 2pm to 5pm, and closes on March 22nd.

Art of the Flower 2008 will be held in the second floor gallery at 235 South Camac Street, Philadelphia.

Opening at the same time in the Sketch Club’s first floor gallery will be a photographic exhibition by Bonnie Schorske entitled Visual Voyages. The prints, which are in the realist tradition of photography, are from images gathered from around the world.
