We’re proud to introduce a new course open for sign-ups this January: Watercolour for People Who Don’t Know Where to Start, a four-week instructional course for the novice watercolour artist!

Thursday evenings, 5:30 – 7:30 PM  |  January 8th, January 15th, January 22nd, and January 29th

Pricing:

  • PSC Members: All four weeks – $165
    • (Plus $20 materials fee to cover paint, paper, and brushes)
  • Non-Members: All four weeks – $200
    • (Plus $20 materials fee to cover paint, paper, and brushes)

Join fine artist & instructor Kate Kern Mundie in exploring how watercolour behaves: learning how to mix colours, create washes, and control transparency through small, approachable exercises. Each class builds on the skills of the previous week, so steady participation is encouraged.

Call for Entries: Works on Paper 2026

We are now accepting entries for our 2026 Works on Paper Exhibition! This is an open, juried show for works on paper. You may submit up to 10 works. Maximum accepted works per artist is 2. Please make sure all your information is accurate for each entry; your information will appear exactly as you enter it on all show materials.

All works MUST be framed and wired to hang. Works eligible include any 2-dimensional works on paper utilizing watercolor, oil, gouache, casein, acrylics, inks, printing, graphite, etching, charcoal, pastel, collage, pencil, mixed media, and others. Digital art is allowed, but not photography or digitally edited photographs.

Deadline for online submissions: 11:59 PM Friday, December 12th

We are proud to announce the opening of the Philadelphia Sketch Club’s first Online Auction!

This year’s 165th Anniversary Gala honors three of the nation’s top artists: Michael Gallagher, Maureen Drdak, and Dick Ranck. In addition to the Sketch Club Medal of Honor presentation, the Gala features a Live Auction with professional auctioneer David Weiss, an in-person Silent Auction, and this year, an Online Auction.

Tickets to attend the 165th Gala are NOT required to bid on Online Auction items, nor is Membership to the Philadelphia Sketch Club. It’s anyone’s chance!

Our Online Auction offers a rare chance to win an array of unique experiences, including items such as:
