Class Description:
|
Come spend two weeks making botanical monoprints and dive into the joys of using a printing press. We will be creating beautifully intricate one-off prints from dried plants. Bring dried flowers and plants with you to create meaningful prints from a dried flower boutique, seaweed from your favorite beach, herbs from your garden from last summer or play around with patterns and colors with the provided plant materials.
We will cover the basics of mixing inks, setting the pressure of an etching press, and how to tear down and soak your paper. You’ll leave this workshop with a unique series of botanical prints and a whole new bunch of printmaking knowledge.
