New Year Workshop Exhibition

The Philadelphia Sketch club is hosting an Open House Event New Years Day Saturday January 1st, 2022. 12pm-4pm. The show will hang in the Philadelphia Sketch club’s Gallery until January 26th, 2022. In celebration of the return of our workshops we are hosting a gallery show for our workshop participants. Our open house will have a live model, as well as refreshments and opportunity to mingle with fellow art enthusiasts! See prospectus below!

New Years Day Open house is an RSVP Event: Entry to the event is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. 

Proof of Vaccination (vaccine card or photo of card) Must be presented at the door. Masks are required. RSVP for attending this event by sending an email to gallerymanager@sketchclub.org.

The Philadelphia Sketch Club invites members and friends to join us at our open house, Monday, November 8th, from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Explore our historic facility and participate in our workshop.

  • We will have a model and it will be quick gesture poses.
  • Bring drawing and painting materials of your choice.
  • A variety of beverages and refreshments from Di Bruno Bros will be available for you to enjoy.

Join Joe Sweeney for an outdoor, in-person, plein air painting retreat in beautiful Cape May, New Jersey! Experience small town hospitality while painting Cape May Point, the Cove with sweeping vistas, Cape May Lighthouse, and Sunset Beach. Instruction includes tips on choosing a prime location, reading the weather and light at a particular time of day, and setting up a landscape palette. Instruction is geared towards oil, acrylic and pastel, but experienced watercolorists are welcome. Health-safety measures, including masking and social-distancing, will be practiced.

Schedule: 4 days, Thursday through Sunday, September 23 – 26, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
